Review on Ear Connection Easy Connect Adapter EP528EC by Delbert Potter

Great product and works as advertised. BUT. The reason for the 3 stars was that I had to modify this device to make it work for me. I work on patrol, and during my time on the road, getting in and out of my patrol unit, I found the simple screw mount that attaches the adapter to my radio loose. This was problematic for a number of reasons, firstly the adapter sits lightly on top of the radio causing it not to transmit through the attached headset/mic but also preventing me from hearing the radio traffic through the radio itself or the headset. So I was blind to the radio without knowing it. Otherwise it works great and I have no problems with it. I fixed it by taking a pan head screw from another radio app I have, which was a nuisance because the screws were different lengths. So I couldn't attach a mounting clip. But since the radio mount is now SUPER tight, it doesn't have a problem with missing radio transmissions. I wish they had a version with a regular pan head machine screw instead of a thumb screw. Actually, I was more concerned that the quick release would be a problem, but it holds up with no problems. The attached picture shows a pan head screw that I had to use from another radio accessory of mine that had one.
