I bought this worried it would be too heavy for my 17 pound dog, but it wasn't and it wasn't too bulky. I don't leave it on her all the time, I ONLY put it on at night when she needs to go out through the dog door by herself and not bark for 20 minutes and not annoy all the neighbors. I just put it on for a while while she's resting and then take it off when she goes back to bed. She stops before the second beep because she knows she does NOT like the buzz. I put her regular collar on and off and fiddle with it every day so hopefully she won't notice the difference when I put her bark collar on and hopefully won't associate it with a beep. She still barks at every squirrel and bird during the day (because she doesn't wear a collar), but I hope she soon learns that barking at night isn't allowed. Now when she wears it at night, she is silent! Much better for everyone! The only thing that was a bit of an issue at first was a small indicator on the product that said it was charged. When she moved, the light hit the wall or floor and she went a little crazy chasing after the light (OCD in this breed). But I solved that problem and stuck a small piece of tape over the LED with a piece of cardboard, so that's no problem now.
