I measured my 7 year old's hands and he measured the small one. There's no room to grow, but they helped keep his hands warm with minimal bulk. After skiing over the weekend they were so damaged that it turned out I didn't need room to wax as they would be thrown away after this season. Any contact with the velcro on coats or your waterproof gloves will really ruin them. They are pretty shabby and cannot be passed on to a toddler or used for another season.
