Review on Filtration Mounting Hardware Included Transparent Filtration by David Cook

Works well but better to have lots of teflon tape to attach

I don't write many reviews, but this one case I thought it might help someone. The filter looks high quality. I made the connection to the filter housing with new brass fittings. The seal between the base and the lid works well and does not leak. Be sure to put some oil on the o-ring to keep it from bending and leaking. As others have said, the threads are very loose. I applied teflon tape and it came out at 4-5 drops per minute. I took everything apart and actually put some teflon tape on and reinstalled it and not a drop spilled out. If you screw in a fitting and you're halfway there and you're still using only your hand, it's going to leak. Stop and add more tape until you need a wrench to tighten halfway through. The filter is large and should weigh a lot when filled with water. The mount seems really bothered by the strain, but after a few days of use it hasn't bent.
