I got this for a Milwaukee M18 cut-off saw. I started at 4 inches and figured I could go up to 5. This is necessary with the guard so you get 1-1/2 of an open wheel. You can't cut all the way to "x4" but it will get it where you need it if it's a real demo. I'll say that, the guard is very necessary, especially with this blade because it's a badass!
