Works just as well as the original key fob before it no longer locks/unlocks the doors. There are many Dodge key fobs that look the same but are not the same on the inside. Those who say they can't be programmed from their Dodge dealers either bought the wrong one (didn't open the unit and look at the board number before ordering) or the dealer doesn't want to program a non-OEM FOB . I programmed mine at a local hardware store for $25. So $30 for a working FOB versus $300 from Dodge. By the way, both of my regular Dodge key fobs died after 6 years. My GM FOB is still going after 18 years.
