Review on Thundershirt Waterproof Outerwear Raincoat by Sherri Rivera

This raincoat arrived today and I was pleased with the large velcro flap and the way it covers the long chest hair on the sides and keeps out rainwater. The front flap doesn't cover the front chest hair that much, but it certainly doesn't get in the way. I ordered an XL size for my Irish Setter but found it was not long enough in the back. My dog is 26 inches from the base of his neck to the base of his tail and he is at least 4 inches from the base of his tail. Too bad there wasn't an XXL option for more body armor. Due to the size of the belly flap, it is definitely made for women to attach the cape with velcro. The material didn't seem stiff, the hood is a bit long, which is surprising since my dog has a very long neck. I have attached a few photos of my dog in a fur coat, the first shows how long the hood is, the second hood is pulled back so she can see. You can see that her back isn't closed until her cock joins her body. Update: She used it on a very rainy day and the hole that allows the leash to attach to the collar through the coat has come loose. I used tape to patch it but was disappointed that it broke and I had to patch it. However, it was very effective in keeping her underframe, head, neck, and almost all of her back dry. This coat did what it was supposed to do.
