The Hunter's Best Days as the benchmark may be above

I saw a previous review that said the light turns on and off so I guess I'm not the only one. Mine flickers constantly and considering it's in the bedroom of an 8 year old who is disturbed by the room suddenly going dark, it turned out to be a terrible purchase. When I called the company to ask about the flickering, they responded with a note that the fans sometimes needed "training," as well as instructions on how to press the remote's buttons in a specific order. Well, no luck. Of course, after paying for the installation of a fan, the idea of dismantling it to return it simply could not come up. I'm stuck with an inferior product, at least in my eyes. Overall, I bought this fan solely as a 'cosmetic' upgrade to an old Home Depot branded Hampton Bay fan. In 10 years of ownership I have never had a problem with turn signal lights. It worked well. For my part, I've decided not to consider Hunter fans anymore. (Please note I bought two fans at once and the other model is worse than flickering, the light actually flickers when the fan spins at night when the lights are supposed to stay off! Hunter says I need this fan' teach" how to do it well). My recommendation: If you need a good looking fan, Hunter is the one. But if you want one that works, look at another brand.

Pros
  • . Enjoyable
