Yes, this gun is expensive. Can you get a cheaper one that works, yes. Do you need that special gun to use 3m products? The gun just feels good and high quality. The finish is beautiful from every angle. So if you want it to look good then your set is with this one. You can feel the quality when you hold it in your hands, it's a very solid and sturdy piece, not super heavy or anything but solid for sure. All moving parts are very smooth (you need to oil them before use) and of course most importantly it squeezes out a perfectly even 1:1 mix in any amount you want. It's also very easy to clean. In my opinion, if you want it to last, this is the gun you need. Drop it, get a cheaper one, no problem, it will get the job done.
