Very impressive. That's probably the best you can get in your 20s. They sound way better than headphones that cost five times as much. Bass is adequate but not overpowering for a ZST model. With the ED12 you get more bass but less treble because it only has one larger dynamic driver instead of two in the zst. Two drivers per ear (1 dynamic for bass and 1 balanced anchor for treble) accurately reproduce a wide frequency range. The sound signature suits me very well and I was amazed when I first turned it on. The highs are clean and punchy, but not overly harsh. The bass is powerful and not muffled like other Beats headphones. Low-end bass isn't the best on these headphones, so bass heads won't appeal to them like the ED12. I've had a lot of headphones and most of them were considered Hi-Fi (RHA 750i, WESTONE UM PRO 10, BOSE Sports, etc.). I originally got them so I could just abuse them without worrying about losing them. Wasn't expecting that much sound, mainly as the packaging was a bit sketchy. They sound very similar to the RHA 750 except for the mids. But Rha 750s cost almost 10 times more than these. KZ ZST is perfect for those who love clarity and tight, punchy bass. These are NOT warm sounding headphones. Basheads probably won't satisfy. Rather icy sounding, and personally it suits me very well. All reviews of the cord hanging out are from those using it incorrectly. You need to keep pressing it with pressure to lock them firmly. These headphones are also very comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the size of these headphones. These stick out a bit. It doesn't matter if you don't sleep with them. I also want to point out how lightweight these headphones are. It is very convenient to travel or carry for a long time.
