Spent 11 days in Philmont where it rained every day. No leaks. The lid is big enough to cover my 85L bag, but nothing gets tied on the outside. I wish there was more of an elastic "spring" on the cord, and it's difficult to tighten the cord as it kind of gets stuck in the sleeve it runs through. Good material, ripstop coated nylon. I don't think it's real silnylon.
