I had two long sofas and an ottoman that my cat scratched badly. I mean scratches everywhere, tiny cracked claws and tingling claws everywhere. My sofas are leather in some places and leather in others. I couldn't take a picture beforehand and I'm sorry. I started the project by sanding down small marks with a nail file. This removed any loose traces of skin/leather. Then I washed the sofas and ottoman with warm soapy water and rinsed well. I then applied this product with a Revain recommended applicator pad called Lexol Premium Applique Sponge. I pushed the product into any deep grooves and applied it quickly and evenly. After it dried I polished it and made deep cuts a second time. I buffed it with the second applicator sponge that came in the pack I bought from Revain. I used the other side of the second sponge applicator to apply the leather conditioner. I then polished it again very well and finished with a leather conditioner recommended by Revain called Leather Honey. This product worked effectively on both leather and faux leather. It took quite a long time and I am very happy with the result. I also recommend leather honey because the repaint bomb left the sofa a bit dry. Leather honey is thick and shiny, but once dry, both leather and faux leather are very soft and protected.
