I had a CAT6 cable from my house wiring so I decided to buy these RJ45 connectors to make some extra ethernet cables. I've only had two breakouts of the 42 cables I've made, so 42/44 isn't a bad success rate. There was a bit of a learning curve with the straight-through style, mostly because you actually have to fiddle with the wires to make sure they're perfectly straight before you even try to plug the connector in. I think the walkthrough is a bit harder than the two-part version. Make sure you have a decent crimping tool, the cheap one I had didn't cut off the pass,
