I haven't gotten any feedback on this from the people I've given it to. I don't usually bother with a review, but thought it looked promising enough to be worth recommending (even seemingly invisible, but at least I get a chance to actually check it out, just don't play it) . I bought this as a Christmas present for a couple of boys aged 10-14. Not quite sure. When I buy gifts, I always buy games or books for children, always looking for educational opportunities. and considering this subject and how it is designed for education. I thought this one seemed to be her ally. I read the reviews, looked at the details of the game, and while it costs a little more than I would normally pay for a small gift for kids I don't know very well, I thought it sounded interesting enough to me - and educationally interesting, which would be worth a bit of cash (hoping they enjoyed and benefited from it!). Math, imagination, intrigue, magic, economics, strategy, skill development. everything is UNPLUGGED - no need for applications, electronics. Can be played by kitchen table light or by candlelight. *I* thought it sounded funny. I may need to pick up another game for my own use at home. I also liked the look of the box and components. Multicolored thick cards, colorful potions in bottles on a stand, thick game currency. It just didn't look cheap. I've been able to verify the materials and it's a solid looking game. I just didn't get a chance to play it. I really hope they enjoyed it and the parents appreciated it. It's like a game that needs to be held on to, maintained, and used again and again. This is because I am considering buying it again for future gifts and have advised others to check it out and keep it marked in the book. to report me with a full 5 star rating for the future. It looks good, has a quality appearance and gameplay that takes both education and imagination into account. The instructions are simple - not too clumsy or frustrating. The marketplace reminds me of any online game (especially MMOs), but all without having to tie me to electronics.
