
The screen works right out of the box, the built in 40 pin GPIO header fits perfectly, comes with mounting hardware and even comes with installation instructions and all. That. However, the touchscreen feature does not work out of the box when using the official Pi OS and may not work at all with your OS and you may need to create your own drivers for it. and if you already have other pi modules or hats or anything else on the pi like a fan hat or breakout board etc then the mounting hardware will not suffice and even with extra parts lying around I haven't been able to get any of mine pick up racks. too high, and while you can remove it from the driver board and use a ribbon connector, you'll lose some functionality and it won't be a simple plug and play experience anymore. If you're using it for Windows development, you're good. but then again it is made and sold for pi and there are much better options out there. it is what it is and i'm fine with it. and some may not be
