I was fine with that at first. The bristles are strong enough for most cleaning and the small, round bristles are good enough for washing dishes. However, I believe that the sponge cannot be completely replaced. Some corners of the pot or a hard crust still need to be cleaned with a suitable sponge. Also, after a few weeks, I noticed that dark mold had formed between the bristles. Pretty disgusting. I followed the instructions and always put the bristles down and didn't let them soak in the water. The wooden handles still look good, no cracks.
