I like this watch, it's thin and light. They don't weigh my wrist down like the bulky boyfriend watches I used to wear, I hardly notice it. The dial is easy to read (I have poor eyesight at birth). It seems almost enlarged. It looks good for what I paid and I would wear it to dinner. I find both the face and the strap too thin for everyday use, in the photos the strap looks wider than it actually is. I'm sure there are measurements somewhere, but it was an impulse buy because all my Fossil watches were dead and I didn't feel like jumping for one. Unfortunately, the issue with my favorite Fossil watch is also related to the design of that watch. While I was able to replace the failed straps with normal ones after they inevitably broke, I don't think I could do that with this one (I have some experience repairing watches). Most straps state the size on the inside, but I don't see that on this watch. When the time comes I'll try, but there's no way I'm going to pay $50 for a replacement strap. At least I had workarounds for my old Fossil watches, although this fancy design isn't particularly smart. For now I'll enjoy this and I couldn't beat the price for this level of quality. I paid more than that for absolute crap. No, it doesn't make a loud ticking sound.
