Review on 🚲 Silicone Self Fusing Bicycle Handlebar Repair Tape - 10ft Roll by Domain Cycling (Black) by Polo Bradley

sticks to itself without glue

This tape stuck to itself quickly which meant I didn't have to worry about it coming loose after installation. I also found that after wrapping the handlebars I could cut and glue a short piece around the base of the brake cap which stayed in place. On the other hand, I had to be careful when wrapping that it didn't roll up by itself and recognize any mistakes and unroll them quickly. It stretches very easily, perhaps too easily for easy application. It needs to be wrapped properly the first time because you need to cut it off after it hardens. It would be possible to cut off part of the case and replace it as it grows together, but that might not be pretty. Silicone to touch, which I didn't notice. It stays very slightly sticky. Grease from your fingers will be transferred to the strap, but the strap can be cleaned with detergent and water or even with a cloth dampened with a little oil. I used end caps on it, although I imagine the tape would try to stay in place even without them. I've ridden the bike a few hundred miles since the tape was put on and have no complaints. I expect it will prove durable, although I would expect a hard hit or fleeing hit to damage it as it's quite soft. I also used small pieces of this tape to form brackets on my luggage rack to keep the basket straps from sliding forward. .
