I honestly got these to use for painting smaller models where I did not want to see brush strokes, and for some detail work where brush bristles would spill over to other areas I did not want painted. These swabs work great for that. They are a bit absorbent, so they will suck up paint, but for cleaning that trait is ideal.The tips are pretty small, and are flat, but pointed along the edge. I did use a couple for cleaning some of the harder to reach places on my EOS DLSR and they worked great. And I'm super happy how well they work for painting. They hold up pretty well during use. The shaft is a lightweight plastic, not cardboard, so they stay pretty rigid while you are using them.They are nice multi-use swabs. From cleaning to painting, they are nice tools to keep around.
