Review on πŸ”Œ Rockville RWK4CU: Premium 4 AWG Gauge 100% Copper Complete Amp Installation Wire Kit OFC - Unmatched Quality and Performance by Jonathan Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent value for money, good selection, you won't find anything better for the price. Name wise

The seller sent FedEx so I'm sure it will arrive. arrived on the third day. seems to be a very good return. comes with a good set of blades, grommet, fuse box etc. The power cord was over 17 feet long. The power cord has a pre-assembled and shrink-wrapped ring, the wire end on the other side. (I FORGOT you would have to cut it off to connect the fuse. Went to the hardware store, used their cutter lol. Hey I buy enough there). the cable weighed 1370 g 1.36 kg or 3 lbs. the bottom was 3 feet 1 1/2 inches with the ring. The earth weighed 0.24kg 8.3oz or 235g I tried checking the resistance with a junk multimeter for $3 HF lol it said everyone has basically no ohms at a power setting of 200 16ft Earth 3 feet and a piece of 1 foot?! I wish I had a chance or real gear lol. Sheath diameter 10mm .39. The conductor is approximately 6mm or 1/4 inch long and difficult to see due to its shape. seems quite flexible, probably about 4 inches to make 180. The kit I got is rwk4cu, all the power wire I cut and grounded. or others. I received the kit in June 2021. I was concerned about the picture from the previous review. The whole set looks great for the price. I was trying to figure out how much copper it contained, hence all the measurements. It's a loose weave, allowing it to flex like these modern audio cables. It's really hard to trust anything so thought I'd post what I can to help other buyers. and since I am satisfied with the kit, I will support the seller. A NOTICE. There's also no pre-assembled ring at the bottom (I assume they give you options so you can customize it to suit your particular build), so I used a rubber grommet and the ring that came with it, and yes I have a pair of small pliers to crimping used. is in the hardware store. Sorry I didn't buy $60-100 tools or what I do for 1 cut and crimp once in a lifetime lol. At least the guy in the department was impressed with the size of my cable. You can make a ball bearing vise if you have one. I would prefer a different type of fuse holder that is waterproof, but this one is more effective for those interested. Since I don't ride off-road and don't use it in marine environments, I prefer the old-school solid copper, but these days it's probably worth at least $3 a foot. Maybe this can thing is okay. I don't touch the aluminum shell. I got down to 4 gauge and probably 6 gauge would have been enough so I compensated for weaving and tinning and also left room to add. I have an old line of 24 foot Monster Bass 400 RCA subwoofers that I got years ago. return. it's really beefy compared to the one that comes with it. (The internal strain relief is about 3x larger and the metal case is much thicker lol, has real silver solder, gold plate, etc.). the cinch kit doesn't seem to be sure which has the best shielding properties. or if it's important enough. bad probably use rca kit. Since I only used the left side channel from the head, I don't know if it matters, but there is one for the right and one for the left in the kit. Anyone with ideas let me know!

Pros
  • 100% stranded copper is extremely resistant to harsh underhood conditions, balancing vibration, thermal expansion and flexibility.
Cons
  • Big and bulky
