I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! The very old and otherwise very nice house I live in has the shabbiest old staircase that I have to use every day. It has NO outlets and the only switch for the pathetic lightbulb hanging at the top of the stairs is inside the house. So either the light stays on all day or it doesn't work at all. So far. Now I'm feeling as bizarre as it gets with my motion sensors lighting up like magic when I walk by! I no longer fear that every step is my last and before the ambulance. No more fiddling with keys or spending 3 minutes trying to find the keyhole because my dog is going crazy on the other side! They were easy to install and bright enough! Since we didn't have any metal on the walls, I used the metal strip that came with it since the lantern itself has a magnetic back. I just applied glue to the back and taped it to the wall. I love that I can easily detach it to charge when the time comes, but after almost a month of use, that time hasn't come. What I really like is that they do NOT turn on when there is light around them. . This way, when the light is on in our hallway during the day, they don't throw themselves into the air unnecessarily and waste energy in vain. That's probably why I haven't had to charge them yet. This is one of those purchases that makes me happy every day!
