Review on πŸͺ’ Rockwell Razors 6S Stainless Steel Adjustable DE Safety Razor + 5 Swedish Stainless Steel Blades by Prathima Rrain

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Unfortunately not aggressive enough even with the most aggressive blade

I bought this to replace the Merkur Futur, another expensive razor that broke within 5 years of use (one of the best wire springs ever holding the top broke due to failure of the metal cup/zinc alloy holding the springs in place). Rockwell razors are "adjustable" so you can start with a new razor, although unfortunately for my face I've gone up in price quickly. to the top plate (#6) and still had stubble after several passes. I contacted Rockwell to see if they could offer an additional plate with a wider gap between the blades, but they suggested I try a different razor (which I did, look good on the upper lip if you're shave there. The blunt sides of the blade protrude on the sides of the razor head, but this is a feature and not a defect as it gives you space to hold the razor securely when you pick it up and you can avoid getting caught in the Cutting fingers on blade edges I went ahead and bought a Parker Variant adjustable razor and after shaving I sell the Rockwell 6S because the Parker Variant gives more audible feedback even at lower settings and ultimately a closer shave for me.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • Obsolete model
