I bought these "caps" to use as helmet and hat liners to control sweat and add a layer of protection between my bald head, straps and fabric. They are very light and thin which makes them ideal as earplugs. The fabric is stretchy and snug on my head, making them perfect for wicking sweat away from my skin. When you're bald, sweat collects and then drips from your forehead into your eyes, onto your glasses, and the drops tickle everywhere. . This liner stopped all of that and the head got cooler under the helmet and hat. They are well stitched, with flat, fully stitched seams. They fit comfortably on my 23" head and also cover almost the entire ear. Their coverage may vary. I paid $16.99 for all six in black and this is the real deal. A word of caution for novice welders and metal grinders : This is not personal protective equipment. Do not use with a welding helmet or face shield to protect your head. They are not flame retardant and the hot sparks will melt the fabric on your head and the spark will penetrate your skin. Use them for more comfort under personal protective equipment.
