I have a small .75 gallon aquarium for a betta fish. Before you judge me for how small the betta tank is, read his story: So 2 years ago my kids got a "free" betta from the pet store. Poor guy, I don't know if he's lived his whole life in that tiny cup or what, but his body is constantly curved in a C-shape and he can't swim very well in deep water. Tried him in a 3.5 gallon goldfish tank (like our other bettas), then in a 2 gallon and then even a 1 gallon goldfish tank but he struggled to swim. I got this so I can just sit on the sheets and relax. He's doing much better now because he's in less water and doesn't have to exert himself to swim. Put in a tiny filter and heater. He is happy just to sit on his plant and blow bubbles. He's happy, so I'm happy. However, we need to do more to ensure better treatment of bettas in pet shops. The only thing difficult to find for our Betta tank was good lighting. I had a small book flashlight on her tank but it used inexpensive batteries all the time and was a pale dull yellow. I have this and there is enough light in the tank for our fish to see and we can observe. You can change the color with the included remote, but I prefer plain white. Second, I like the blue backlight. My rooster actually looks more alive in brighter light. He sees his food better and always watches us from the corner of the aquarium :-). The clip easily attaches to the side of the tank and attaches to the hood and side of the tank. Since his tank is so small, I turn up the light so it's not too bright for him, but you can easily adjust the light to suit your needs. They need a USB port, but I have plenty of them around the house. It was a great addition to our pool and I'm grateful I found it. I hope you found this review helpful!
