Works with Chromecast with Google TV

Works perfectly with Chromecast with Google TV provided you use the right power source. You must use a good quality 15W 5V/3A USB-C charger, otherwise you will get an "insufficient power" message when booting. The charger MUST have a USB-C port, it will not work with every charger with a USB-A port or with a USB-AC cable, no matter what the amperage the charger says. You do NOT need a higher powered USB-C PD charger as the CCwGTV only draws 5V. I used a spare USB-C charger for Pixel phones. A note: there is currently a bug with the CCwGTV and USB-C Ethernet adapters that results in a hotboot adapter not recognized. You must turn off the device and perform a cold reset to detect it. It's not limited to this Belkin adapter, it happens with every USB-C Ethernet adapter I've tried. Hopefully this will be fixed by a CCwGTV firmware update in the future. Also note that the USB port on the CCwGTV appears to be USB 2.0, so the maximum speed you'll get from this adapter is around 300Mbps.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
