Asus Zenpad 3S 10 Z500M and Pixel 2XL Charging

Update September 7, 2021: Thanks to another reviewer, I have power bank (https://amazon.com/gp/product/B08LD7RY23) and cable (https://amazon .com/gp/product/B08J2HXYPH) who have been promoting their PD (Power Delivery) technology. With these additions, the Ethernet to USB-C adapter now works great. Seller just needs to tell buyers in key description that buyers need to use PD compatible items to stop all 1 star ratings. Ethernet works but not enough passthrough. Without a key, the Pixel 2XL…

Ethernet works, broken through open

Seems to work well for ethernet connection. I used to have a USB 3.0 adapter. I used it to work remotely with a browser based telemarketing program. The calls came very irregularly. So I bought this one (simply at the highest price hoping for the highest quality). As soon as I took it out of the box I plugged in the ethernet which worked great. Speed test 1 GB up and 1 GB down (so that nothing is lost from the router). However, I connected my iPhone charger to the pass-through and it doesn't…

Great addition to the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019 model

I often use my Galaxy Tab to stream to TVs. WiFi is great, but sometimes the video isn't smooth when streaming sports or action movies. By connecting the tablet to the network and turning off WiFi, I get smooth streaming. My switch shows that it is connected in full duplex mode, 1 Gbps. Using the same charging cable and charging adapter I normally use to charge my tablet, it also charges my tablet while streaming with this wired ethernet adapter. I didn't have to download or install drivers or…

Not error free. - Networking Products

While the 6677 reviewer from the UK says the unpowered adapter "worked flawlessly in the Nintendo Switch", we found the pass-through model essentially didn't everything worked with the Nintendo Switch and was tested on three different devices, two original versions (Generation 1; Series XA.) and one "Red Box" (Generation 2; Series XK.) versions. The devices showed charging status when the device was powered on AFTER the adapter was plugged in, but power was apparently not detected when the…

No through shop! Do not buy this adapter.

This device must consume or waste a lot of energy. I bought 4 of these so I can connect 4 Pixel 3a for use in a home streaming studio where the pixels are used as network cameras. The gigabit connection works great, but quickly drains the phone's battery and even with a 30W fast charger connected, the phone is unable to maintain a charge. A maximum of 15W is required to charge the phone. I don't understand how this product can draw so much current without allowing enough current through for the

Works with Chromecast with Google TV

Works perfectly with Chromecast with Google TV provided you use the right power source. You must use a good quality 15W 5V/3A USB-C charger, otherwise you will get an "insufficient power" message when booting. The charger MUST have a USB-C port, it will not work with every charger with a USB-A port or with a USB-AC cable, no matter what the amperage the charger says. You do NOT need a higher powered USB-C PD charger as the CCwGTV only draws 5V. I used a spare USB-C charger for Pixel phones. A…

Ethernet has stopped working, but charging is still possible

Everything works fine the first time it is connected. I mainly use it on my Android phone for streaming because I have weak WiFi, but sometimes I use it on my laptop too. I've found that if you leave it plugged into a power source and come back later to plug it into your device, it charges but the ethernet may not show up. You'll need to unplug it and then plug it back in for ethernet to be available again. I sent the first one back thinking I had a malfunction but the second one still has a…

Best for laptops/chromebooks. Too much power for small devices

At first I avoided this adapter mainly because of its price, but then decided on it because it was 50% cheaper. Background. I was looking for a way to provide Ethernet connectivity for my new Chromecast with Google TV (CCWGTV) and knew I needed a USB-C to Ethernet adapter with bandwidth. My price point is the official Google Ethernet/USB-C/Power Adapter, sadly stuck at 100Mbps in the 20th century. I wanted something with gigabit connectivity. Enter the Belkin adapter. Testing. The adapter…

Can't recommend - too many design and function flaws

*************** This adapter was barely ok due to some design issues - short cable, strong pulling USB-C port , significant heat build-up that threatens the electronics, and an RJ45 port. Do not snag/block the Ethernet cable's protected spade lugs, which will fall out of the connector and disconnect devices from the Internet. For these reasons alone, we have decided to return the adapter. But we wanted to see if, like other adapters, the basic functionality of internet pass-through or power…
