Read the instructions!

I don't want to tell you how much time I've wasted assuming that WD couldn't be right when it said it was easy to migrate old Windows to this new drive. My disk came with a Western Digital Data Lifeguard Tools CD. I just knew it couldn't be that easy, so I went online and brewed a witch's potion on the steps to clone my old Maxtor. It didn't work so I changed the recipe and tried several times. So if all else fails, read the instructions. I ended up doing it a few times, it sounded so easy I thought I missed something. So I ended up spending a few minutes downloading the software, a minute or two browsing the basic software, and waiting 3 1/2 hours for that process to complete as well. Eureka, it worked! Damn I'm smart! I am writing this on my shiny new WD Caviar Blue running my trusty old Windows XP, [.]
