I'm an artist and illustrator and I draw on a variety of surfaces, traditional paper, digitally with a Wacom tablet and more recently an iPad Pro. I bought a 12.9 "Bond type" which I find to be the toothiest of the treads. This screen protector has been a fantastic experience so far - although I've drawn/drawn on my iPad without a screen protector and am able to do so, I've found that I have less control when trying to draw with a slow, light touch because of the stylus tends to slide a little more than I need - this protection gives me that bit of resistance that the stylus is much more predictable. I had previously used the iCarez matte protection for the same reason, but this product was noticeably smoother - surprisingly, it also had worse glare than this product. With the highlights of this product I actually found it quite preferable, it still has some reflections like you see on a standard iPad but the matte protection diffuses them enough to be less noticeable than the iCarez. A downside of this protector is that the application process is much less perfect than iCarez. iCarez features a step-by-step decal system with rubber bands for smooth and precise tread application. However, this protector essentially has a blue protective film on it, and then the protector itself is glued onto a larger, harder plastic film. I was able to apply mine with relatively little difficulty, but I highly recommend taking your time as this product is one sheet only - no repeats. So I intend to buy one more of these protectors to have on hand if needed. - The most important thing I will pay attention to when using it is the greed with which it wears down the tip of the pencil (certainly since it is quite abrasive) and whether smooth spots appear on it with use. That. If these things come up and matter, I'll come back and re-read this review - until then, I'm quite happy with my purchase. One final note: I don't recommend this protector unless you're too focused on drawing, while the iPad is quite comfortable to use, you can use the device with your fingers like this protector - it's rough and feels to you. Run your finger over the fine sandpaper.
