My Traeger 850 Pro Grill was finally able to connect to my WiFi even though the grill was only 50 feet from the actual router. Keep in mind that the antenna that came with the grid was the size of a miniature sausage and as thin as pasta, while this antenna was huge and thick. I had to use a dremmel to widen the hole in the metal plate under the grille to accommodate the perimeter of the antenna, but it was painless. After connecting, my signal was read as "satisfactory" in the application. I wasn't expecting "Great" because I know it's not just an antenna, it's a WiFi transceiver that Traeger used with the grill. This antenna is simply necessary for people in the same boat as me.
