I wasn't expecting much from a $5 padlock—just a basic gym locker protector that I use for an hour or two a few times a week. I've set the lock combination to the fitting room access code - 5745. I've been using it for several weeks with no sign of a problem. Today I'm going to the gym. I open the lock with 5745, change and close the lock. I walk down the corridor to the gym and realize I forgot my card key from there. I go back into the locker room and try to open the combination lock. Do not go. The? I just opened his combo. I spend 5-10 minutes trying again, making sure the combo lines up well, pulling, tugging, everything. It just doesn't work. Big. Christmas and I'm stuck in a locker in a secure building with all my valuables. Luckily for me the lock is so cheap I was able to pick it up in about 15 minutes. New station wagon? 5753. So if you need a lock that randomly changes the combination, then this option is for you. Otherwise you don't buy this junk.
