All local parts stores sell this item for $39-$50. All black plastic, just like the OEM part. I don't know how long this plastic part will last, but for $16-17 I buy a spare so I have a spare and don't have to wait if that part fails. Replace the thermostat while you're doing this part as it's an Arkansas Booger Bear to take the old part off. Poor Toyota design: The thermostat housing is plastic and very difficult to replace. Remove the battery, remove the air intake, remove the air filter and air filter housing, remove two to three vacuum hoses and the sensor harness, loosen the engine starter screws and slide the starter back so you can clean the thermostat housing. The thermostat housing is held on by three 10mm nuts that are hard to see and reach, especially the ones on the underside, then remove and unscrew without dropping them! Again, it's easy to remove the case and install a new part, but it will take a long time to remove everything around it so you can access and remove it.
