I'd like to deduct one star because I had to use a stupid special tool for VW cylinder head bolts, but this isn't a test of German cars, it's a test of a tool. This tool was awesome for just one task it was designed to do. Of course I did a fantastic job on the rest of the heads too by removing the hex bolts, the difference is that normal heads can be used in more than one place on the planet. On the other hand, the same people who thought it was a great idea to use a very special tool just for the head bolts thought that putting plastic on the inside of the motor would be good. I'm probably missing something brilliant here. In any case. The tool worked great when I had to use it once. Volkswagen New Beetle 2.0 AEG 2000.
