Review on πŸ”§ Carlisle 36631800 Straight Double Foam Handle with Plated-Black Rubber Coating by Jennifer Hartley

Great scraper, but you need an electric drill to fix crappy assembly parts.

This is a fairly good quality scraper (made in Belgium) at a fraction of the price of comparable products that include a broom/holder. This is a REAL bad buy, however, unless you don't have a drill because while the metal ring around the bottom of the mounting hardware can theoretically be adjusted and secured to the handle, you'll need to loosen and tighten the screw accordingly and will stick and easily fall off if You try to delete it. .I have more time than money right now, so I didn't mind doing a little MacGyvering to save a few bucks. I think you can drill out the screw, but it's easier to take a bolt cutter and cut the metal sleeve in half and then use pliers to remove it. If you cut it you will also need to drill a second hole at the bottom. Metal hardware opposite the existing hole on the side, allowing you to pass a screw from the hardware on one side through the broom handle from the hardware on the other side. (If you have a long bolt with a matching nut, it would be better. But I only had one bolt, so instead of a nut, I just covered the end with a blob of epoxy putty.) It took five to 10 minutes overall, but I live in an apartment and don't have a workbench with tools ready. A real instrumentalist could do it in a minute or two.
