I've bought a lot of ice trays recently and I've been disappointed. These soft silicone ice molds work well for removing ice, but they don't last long. They flow and divide and I was fed up. I have decided to switch back to solid shells. Thing is, my fingers are old and arthritic, and I especially have trouble with ice buckets. Decided to take a chance and buy these. I was very skeptical of the picture where it shows you just have to click on the end of the cube and they will pop out. Well as I suspected I couldn't get them to pop out as shown in the picture and I couldn't get the lid to slide off as it was frozen. However as they come with a strong lid I put the bowl under hot water for a few seconds then the lid slipped off and I was able to press the end of the ice cubes and the cubes popped out instantly. Bowls are that they have hard lids, stackable, no noticeable odor, the ice tastes fresh and feels firm. I hope they last a while compared to those silicone shells.
