Most metal beds have 9 legs. Selling in sets of 8 is impractical. You either have to choose not to support one leg (I chose the top middle one) or you have to buy the whole second set without using the 7 legs. The good thing is that there are 2 sets in each package (each a different height) so I was able to raise 2 beds. While they work as intended, they are incredibly bulky. The shelves themselves take up a lot of space. Some of my storage cases don't fit in the space between the straps. Also, they are quite sticky and very noticeable. I haven't found the dust ruffles long enough to try to hide them. But in a cramped small apartment, any extra storage space is too valuable to sacrifice for unwanted aesthetics. Overall they are very stable and do what they are supposed to do. I'd recommend them to anyone desperate for space, but if you're just a little desperate for form and function I'd keep looking at other options.
