This is a well built OTG adapter. The cable is sturdy and braided, and the USB-C connector looks like it's gold plated. Stiffness means it tends to stick out straight instead of hanging sluggishly. The USB socket is a bit tight. Therefore, it may require some force to fully insert the connector. If you're having trouble reading a disc, make sure it's fully inserted. I was able to use it with USB sticks without any problems. However, my card reader was not working. The tablet showed it was connected, but when I opened the drive it said "Error reading file". I'm sure it's not the adapter, it's a quirk in the tablet. I only mention this as information for other Galaxy Tab S3 users.
