Review on Danco 28499 Chrome Plated Faucet Trim Kit, Compatible with Mixit Shower Valves, 5-1/2-Inch by Kevin Bigelow

The old cartridge was worn out and no longer leaking. The handle was so long the set screw was rusted and had the Phillips ripped off so the old one had to be broken. Got a nice spare cartridge and this pen/grip set. We are planning on upgrading this tub in the future so we just wanted the cheapest item I could find. It barely fits them Mixet cartridge. That means the temperature knob fits and the set screw kinda snaps it in place, but just barely. It wobbled and didn't tighten and the lever had a lot of "play". I tried using thin spacers which was cut from the blister pack it came from and has tightened a bit but still feels like the plastic could break or tear at any moment. The keyhole in the flow handle doesn't fit either, but as soon as you tighten the middle screw, it stops wobbly. The little plastic ridge on the temperature dial is just enough to catch the hole in the cartridge and it's so soft I don't expect it to last long.
