Review on ๐Ÿ  Enhanced Assistant Compatibility with BN LINK Monitoring Function: Advanced Monitoring Solution for Smart Homes by Darrell Beecher

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Works well but not rated for 15A. UPDATE: Star rating is being manipulated. see review.

UPDATE 1/6/2020: In addition to selling a product that doesn't quite live up to its advertisements (and may not be safe for certain uses), this company is manipulating the star rating for this product by bribing people with negative reviews to remove. Since September I've received 10 emails from a company offering me a $40 "refund" on items selling for $27 if I simply delete the feedback (original feedback is below ). I was about to let him go and marked the email from them as spam. But lo and behold, the e-mail sender is constantly changing and bypassing the spam filter. See, 10 emails in 4 months isn't a huge spam barrage or anything, but I like the dishonesty of a) email sender changes and b) rating manipulation and c) harassment to remove honest and truthful callbacks. Original Review: These outlets are reasonably priced and work great. However, some caution is required when using it. First, these sockets are not UL or ETL listed. Secondly, despite being advertised at 15A (which is also printed on the back of each unit), they don't appear to be able to deliver even 12A continuously at 70ยฐF ambient (see attached image). A level 1 EV charger has been connected to this unit and you can see that it has melted. The EV manufacturer only requires a 15A circuit for the charger, and I've never seen a charger draw more than 11-12 amps (whether measured by this device or measured in a million watts). So it works fine but not at 15A. something that UL/ETL testing would surely find if the devices were submitted for certification.
