Great product! My 5 year old adds (and subtracts, although subtraction cards aren't included) without realizing it. The green cards are for level 1/easy and show the number of frogs needed to balance. The purple cards are level 2/medium and show either the number of frogs or the actual number and then you have to find the number to balance. The blue cards are difficulty 3/hard and use the number of frogs and numbers to add up. The plastic numbers and frogs are very durable. The scale works very well but can easily fall off if used on a not entirely hard surface like a carpet or bed. I recently had surgery so we used the product on the bed. However, it still balances well on softer surfaces. My only complaint about this product is that the cards are very flimsy and flimsy so I think they get ripped or bent fairly easily when used by a young child. That being said, I don't think weak cards are a reason not to buy this product. This is fantastic for teaching math concepts. I recommend laminating the cards or putting clear tape on them to reinforce them.
