We love our table protector. It's flannel on one side and plastic on the other. The flannel protects table from scratches and the plastic protects the table from spills. We still use trivets for hot dishes. Our table has a leaf that is stored under the table. I ordered the proctor to fit the table when it's opened to full size. Since we usually use a table cloth; I didn't cut it down I just push it back to the wall and you can't even tell. I like that it's does the job and I didn't have to spend a fortune on it. It's a good product.
