I'm sick of battery packs dying in the middle of a project so I went back to the cable and I'm glad I did. The thing puts out almost 3/4 liters. Let your hand rotate without touching any material. Lots of drilling power, probably a lot more than I'll ever need for my home projects. It takes about 2 seconds to roll at full speed, so this might not be the best tool choice for delicate jobs you might have, or even something as simple as tightening a loose bolt. My wife ripped off some cheap screws trying to tighten the chair when the drill didn't hook properly and wouldn't shut off immediately like regular battery powered drills. Quite heavy but well balanced thanks to the central handle. I definitely prefer this style to the pistol grip style. Has a small leveling bladder on top/back, can't see what it could be useful for. Maybe this will help you when you need to drill a perfectly horizontal hole. The only criticism is that there is no on/off switch. The switch, located just in front of the trigger, is fairly easy to toggle from forward to reverse, but there's no center detent for the lock/off position. This seems like an oversight for a very powerful and corded drill.
