'Smart Sleep' Drives You Crazy. I often get stuck reading a website or watching a movie and then find that my keyboard and mouse are unresponsive and I have to wake them up. I don't want a car that hits the brake pedal when I'm not using it, and I don't want a computer that doesn't respond to me when I'm addicted to blogging or watching movies. The lack of an answer is disorienting and annoying, and I can lose my train of thought. Grrr. I've now set it aside for a spare computer I have (which I haven't started in months). If I could disable this "feature" it would be trivial. Devices should function normally or at least have configurable differences. I don't want to keep track of which of my multiple keyboards isn't broken just because it doesn't talk to me.
