Review on CPS MA1234: Pro-Set Manifold A/C Gauge Set 🌡️ with Hoses (R-12, R-134A) - Efficient Cooling System Diagnostic Tool by Steve Harris

This is a good quality gauge kit of average quality. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for which is why I immediately returned the set I originally bought from Harbor Freight - the quality just wasn't there. The HF is cheap, but I should have known better than to skimp on an instrument like this, but I still had to check it out. In any case, this CPS set is of good quality and made "mostly" in America according to a CPS representative. The one-turn (one full turn to fully open or close) manifold valve knobs are comfortable to the touch and easy to operate. The hoses are of very good quality and are 72 inches long, which you will appreciate when working with air conditioning. Also worth noting is the shut off ball valve at the end of each hose, very good, many kits don't have this. I was satisfied with all the fittings, they are of good quality. The couplers aren't what you see in the photo, they're "chrome plated" with anodized blue and red knobs for the high and low sides, but the quality seems to match the rest of the ensemble - almost. How does the Harbor Freight Set compare to this set? Beautifully molded hard plastic storage box. Almost three times the price of this CPS set, I would appreciate a case to store it in.
