Review on Cuisinart PSC-650 Stainless Steel 6.5-Qt Programmable Slow Cooker by Fritz Wiest

Excellent multi-cooker. I'm an avid cook and cook almost everything in my slow cooker, even breakfast. I've had many brands of slow cookers and used them until they just wouldn't work. The last slow cooker I replaced was an old rival that lasted 11 years. After a retirement that brought me back into the multicooker market, I was blown away by all the new and updated features available. I wanted a programmable model as I cook most of the night. In some of the negative reviews on this model, as well as other brands I've reviewed, I've found that the programmable feature causes issues when not plugged in. This was the most common complaint about all multi cookers with this feature. I assumed this was a problem with all multi cookers with this feature, so I couldn't fault this product as I have with other brands with the same feature. I have many Cuisinart products, pots, pans and coffee makers to name a few. I have had very good success with this brand and chose the slow cooker based on my experience with Cuisinart products that I own and use. After using this multi cooker for the first time I was very satisfied. We love southern cuisine and cook it often. One of our family favorites is the breakfast oatmeal casserole. It cooks all night and is ready in the morning. With our schedule, breakfast in a slow cooker is almost the best opportunity to make a good homemade breakfast. Most other slow cookers I've used in the past burned the grits we're used to and just ate around the burned bits. The muesli didn't burn in the Cuisinart multi-cooker, which surprised and pleased us. It cooks much colder, which is good, others cooked even at higher temperatures often burn easily. I must say that once again I am very satisfied with Cuisinart's products and quality. This is the first slow cooker I haven't bought from Wal-Mart and it's no wonder the quality is so much better and the food tastes so much better. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with the Cuisinart multi-cooker. This is a great multi cooker with great results.
