The biggest problem with this toy is that it is VERY plastic, so to speak. It looks very fragile and I expect kids to break it sooner or later (probably sooner than later). On the 2nd day one of the lenses fell off; I tried to glue it back but I wasn't careful enough and the glue touched the surface of the lens. Since the lens is also made of plastic, it was irreversibly damaged, so at that moment the binoculars turned into a monocular. Although kids (3.5 years old) like the thing. You carry it everywhere. I think they like that it looks complicated, that you can open and then close, rotate, look inside, etc. A good gift, if rather short-lived.
