It works as advertised, I also have a Viper Ultimate but I need a different dock for my Death Adder v2 Pro that I use at work (works also great with any new Razer mice without a docking station, like Naga Pro and Death Adder V2 Pro). These things are good enough for charging that you don't have to fiddle with cords and such. It charges quickly and gives you color-coding as it charges so you know what level it is at (see software screenshot). The fact is that this is only the charging station itself and not the cable. The cable that came with your mouse fits easily, and if you already have a compatible mouse, you're using that to charge your mouse anyway, so swapping it over to the dock isn't a big deal. The cable you're using also has "TOP" written in capital letters, so another review saying you can hook it up wrong is a bit of an exaggeration. Just read the cable and you're good to go. Photos of dock box included, DA v2 Pro on charging station, all my setups lit and color matched and dock screen in Synapse software to show available options.
