I have this switch to replace the one that came in this wiring harness: https://www.amazon.com/dp/ B071ZPX32N? 1&ref =ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details Since I have it on my bike I had to find another switch. This one has 3 pins which means the switch indicator will be lit when the light is on. I connected it to the wiring harness by soldering the connectors and connecting them to the wiring harness. Works perfectly, light comes on. Connection wired straight. In my case the brown wire from the switch is connected to the black wire in the bundle and the other two wires can be connected however you like. it's on a bike. Just received so I can't guarantee durability or water resistance yet! Oh! Although the aluminum screws appear strong, they don't feel very strong. But there are no problems yet.
