No more Black and Decker for me. I've had a Black and Decker chopper for almost 30 years, it was a gift. When he finally died, I replaced him with another Black and Decker. It was almost impossible to open the lid of the powered device. The lid broke the first time I used the grinder. I was told it was under warranty and could be replaced rather than full unit coverage. I said I only wanted a lid but was told it was not possible to get just a lid. I had to cut the cable off the unit, send it to the company, and then enclose a shipping and handling receipt for almost the cost of a new unit to get a replacement unit. When I paid for shipping, the cost of the return cable, shipping, and handling was barely less than the total cost of the original unit. I'll look around for another brand.
