We bought two GPS speedometers from different dealers, none of them worked. Your own wiring instructions, it worked like a charm. Why they don't publish new connection methods I don't know. The final working connection included a wire (Yamaha is yellow for us) from the ignition to the signal post AND a jumper wire from the signal post to the battery post. The DC line (red in our case) was completely unused, contrary to the signs. So simple, hope this helps someone else.
