Very easy installation. Works perfectly. Receives a satellite signal in a few seconds without an external antenna. Used as a replacement for the old pitot tube speedometer.

This is not a direct replacement as Faria claims. Requires three power connections from three different locations. The textual description differs from the circuit diagram. The needle stepping motor hums every time it is switched on. Reinstall the vacuum gauge.

We bought two GPS speedometers from different dealers, none of them worked. Your own wiring instructions, it worked like a charm. Why they don't publish new connection methods I don't know. The final working connection included a wire (Yamaha is yellow for us) from the ignition to the signal post AND a jumper wire from the signal post to the battery post. The DC line (red in our case) was completely unused, contrary to the signs. So simple, hope this helps someone else.

I needed to upgrade to a reliable speedometer. It was a simple replacement for the original speedometer. At first I had two speedometers. I replaced one. I also had to hide the line from the back of the boat for the original speedometer. We used it for skiing. It is ready to use immediately and there are no delays. Looks good on the boat.
